I was asked by Shepherd University to teach a class from their Lifelong Learning program on our findings at the American Indian sites I have had the honor of being a part of.
This is a six-week class open to the public. This is a non-degree related class and no credits will be given. We will take at least two field trips to different sites I am working at.
The classes will begin on March 16th and we will meet once a week on Thursdays at 3:30 pm. Each class will run 1.5 hours long, with the exception of field trips which will be several hours due to distance of travel and time on site.

My background in this field is:
Matthew "Maasaw" Howard has spent the last several years discovering and recording ancient American Indian ceremonial and burial sites located from Canada to Virginia. He has also authored a book about his experiences titled "Adonvdo Yona {Bear Spirit} Mountain, An Ancestral Awakening." He has given presentations on his findings at international Archaeological conferences and to groups throughout the Eastern Panhandle. Currently, he is working with other Archaeologists, Geologists, and Anthropologists from the United States, Canada, Asia, and Europe in sharing his findings with the scientific community.
